Buddies Ministry

Because all people should have access to the gospel.
Buddies Program

Our buddy program allows individuals with special needs or disabilities to be able to participate in our Sunday programs. Buddies serve to ensure inclusion, safety, participation, and friendship for those who have a disability or special needs. Buddies are available for any age on a Sunday morning. If your child would benefit from having a buddy please let us know below.

Prayer

Pray for the disability ministry at PAC. Pray for volunteers, people with disabilities to be known here/have their needs met, the Lord to establish the ministry, and that we will be known by our compassion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you change your name from Disabilities to Buddies?

We wanted to bring greater focus on what our ministry provides and how we serve our community. Some of the children and youth we serve do have a disability, while others may have a physical, intellectual, or developmental delay or challenge. Not all of the individuals we serve have a diagnosed disability but some of our friends need more support in feeling safe and staying engaged with some of our programs.

When is your next Respite Night?

At this time we do not have a respite night schedule. We look forward to providing those events for our families in the future as we recruit more volunteers and buddies to address our current needs. Check back in in the future!

Who leads this ministry?

Our Buddies Ministry is led by a team of staff and volunteers. Our staff include our Children’s Director, Elementary Coordinator, Youth Pastor, and Executive Pastor of Family Life. Our volunteers include individuals with experience serving our diverse community and paraprofessionals.

Who are the buddies in the ministry?

Our buddies are volunteers within our church who have a heart to ensure this church is a safe space for all individuals. Each of our buddies have gone through a background check and training through our ministry’s leadership team. If you have a heart to serve as a buddy, let us know!

I would like for a buddy to be paired with my child. What is my next step?

The first step would be to fill out our Buddies Accommodation form. Please fill it out with as much information as you are able to provide at this time. If anything changes from the date that you submit the form, you can always reach out to update us. Once we receive the form, we will review the information to determine your eligibility in having a buddy paired with your child during our Kids or Youth specific programs.

Which programs offer a buddy for my child?

Buddies are paired with our kids and youth during our PAC Kids Sunday services as well as our annual PAC Kids Summer Camp. We are also increasing our buddies to offer more buddies for our Sunday Youth services. In time, we hope to offer buddies for our Tuesday night Youth service as well.

Can my child have a buddy and stay with me in the main sanctuary?

At this time, buddies are offered for kids or youth checked into one of the programs listed above.

Are there accommodations for adults over 18 or for those who are not checked into a kids or youth program?

Right now our Buddies Ministry serves as a ministry that supports our PAC Kids and PAC Youth programs. Our buddies are paired with individuals checked into those programs.

How can I get involved?

We are always looking for more volunteers to be trained as buddies. You can always let us know you have an interest in serving by going to princetonalliance.org/sayyes and selecting our Buddies Ministry. We look forward to hearing from you!

I have a question not on here. Who can I talk to?
