PAC Kids

Greeter – Welcomes congregants and others with a warm attitude.

One-on-One Buddy – Provides support and care for individuals who have disabilities/special needs.

Event Volunteer – Assists in food distribution, security, set up, clean up, etc. for various Kids events.

Teacher – Creates a safe, engaging atmosphere for children to ask questions and grow in their faith.

Promised Land Small Group Assistant – Aids the small group leader in discussion, safety, and activities.

Large Group Volunteer – Facilitates Kids large group activities, bible stories, and games.

Elementary Worship/Dance Team – Learns the motions to our songs and leads the children in our worship/music time.

Elementary Tech Team – Oversees production for large group time by working with sound, lighting, and pro-presenter systems.

PAC Youth

Small Group Leader – Guides and mentors middle school/high school students in growing their relationship with Jesus.

Sunday Service Volunteer – Engages the students during Sunday services in various roles, from greeting to tech responsibilities.

Check-In Volunteer – Welcomes kids through the Fellowship One app for weekly youth nights and Sunday services.

Worship Team – Leads the worship sessions for weekly youth nights and Sunday services.

Tech Tech – Oversees production for weekly youth nights and Sunday services by working with sound and pro-presenter systems.

Social Media Team – Develops the youth ministry’s social media presence through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.

Event Volunteer – Assists with special events (trips and fellowships) through various responsibilities, from chaperoning to cleaning-up.

Hospitality Leader – Leads

Community Group Leader – Leads and facilitates discussion in small groups during Wednesday nights.

Worship Team – Leads the worship sessions for the Young Adults program on Wednesday nights.

Disability

One on One Buddy- A buddy serves to provide support, care for individuals who have disabilities/ Special Needs. A buddy helps to provide safety, friendship, discipleship and participation with the individual they are serving. This role matters because it allows children with disabilities to be able to be included and it allows their families to enjoy worship. A buddy serves around 2-3 times per month.

Parent Contact – Connects with parents throughout the week to determine if they will be attending and if they need a buddy.

Buddy Coordinator- Works on Sunday’s to connect Buddies with Students, talk with parents whose child may need a buddy, and monitor the buddies and check in when they are done with their assignment. This role serves the buddies as they serve the families impacted by disability. The buddy coordinator can serve around 2 times per month.

 

Respite Night – Various positions to give parents a night off while we have a night of fun with families affected by disability. Roles include activity room leader, security, check in, buddies, set- up, and more.  Respite events provide rest and fun for families, and allow us to live out the gospel as a church. Respite events happen multiple times throughout the year.

Prayer Partner – Prays with and for our disability ministry whilst learning how God is at work.

ProPresenter/Lyrics – Overlays lyrics, graphics, and content on display devices and our online livestream using ProPresenter.

FOH Audio Engineer – Operates our Yamaha soundboard and monitors all live inputs and outputs, ensuring clean and vibrant audio for both physical and digital production.

Livestream Audio Engineer – Operates the audio console with Pro Tools, helping deliver clean broadcast sound for our livestream and digital recordings.

Lighting Operator – Operates the Lightkey lighting system in the Skybox, enhancing our Sunday worship sessions with dynamic light cues and effects.

Camera Operator – Physically handles and manipulates our moving broadcast cameras for Sunday services, landing a variety of shots and angles to create an engaging video experience.

Video Switcher – Cues, communicates, and changes the camera angles on air, effectively acting as a live video editor.

Communications

Church News Volunteer – Enthusiastically presents stories and upcoming events and initiatives from PAC.

Content Creator – Constantly has ideas, practices keeping up with meme culture and trending storytelling methods and can apply it to social media

Livestream Chat Host – Moderates the chat rooms on our livestream sources by praying and greeting those who join online.

Photographer – Captures high-quality stills for ministries, campaigns, events, or social media that meet PAC’s brand guidelines.

Video Editor – Cuts, stitches, masters, and delivers video content in accordance with PAC’s brand guidelines and vision.

Videographer – Captures short clips of talking heads, b-roll footage, long-form storytelling, and other necessary shots that meet PAC’s brand guidelines and vision.

Community Life

Community Groups

Community Group Leader – Facilitates and manages a community group during the semester, helping people get connected and grow spiritually.

Affinity Group Leader – Facilitates and manages an affinity group during the semester, participating in an activity together and building fellowship.

Home Group Host – Hosts and provides hospitality to a community group in their home. Not a leadership position.

Community Group Assistant Leader – Supports a CG Leader in planning, organizing and leading a Community Group for a semester.

Alpha Prayer team – Meet weekly to pray and intercede for Alpha members while they meet. Alpha is a course for people exploring Christianity.

Care

Stephen Minister  Stephen Ministers play a key role in walking alongside brothers and sisters in Christ who experience crisis. They are extensively trained to listen to, care for, and walk with those going through difficult times in life and are carefully matched with someone in need, who they will meet with on a weekly basis.

Discipleship or Marriage Mentor – Walking alongside a new believer to help them grow in their faith, or alongside a couple who is either newly-wed or struggling in their marriage.

Cars/Pantry

Cars Assistant – Order car parts, maintain car database, and assist with other Cars ministry needs.

Cars Detailer – Thoroughly clean repaired cars using a steamer and other tools so they’re ready for donation.

Cars Volunteer –  Perform a variety of car repairs such as changing tires, brakes, oil changes, etc.

Mechanic/Detailer – Performs routine maintenance and completes detailed cleanings for donated vehicles.

Motel Delivery – Pick up food orders from the church and deliver to clients at the Travelers Inn in Dayton.

Pantry Volunteer – Sorts and stocks products from shelves to families throughout the week.

Food Pickup – Pickup food for the Pantry from Wawa, Costco, Replenish, Panera – various times of day

Pantry Gardener – Prepares, plants, waters, and harvests The Pantry vegetable garden.

Welcome Team

Usher – Provides the offering bags to congregants and transports the offering safely to the designated destination.

Greeter – Welcomes congregants and others with a warm attitude.

Hospitality Suite Team – Sets up and cleans craft services (food/beverages) and supplies for the hospitality suite.

Welcome Center Volunteer Leader – Schedules the various welcome teams and communicates with the teams prior to their serve time.

Welcome Center Volunteer – Answers questions about PAC for those attending on Sunday mornings.

Translator

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Teaching – Teaches English to multi-lingual adults in our community on Monday evenings.

Transportation – Provides transportation to ESL students on Monday evenings.

Graphic Designer – A picture paints a thousand words, and the ESL Team needs an artist who is capable of conveying information to potential learners who do not yet know the English language.

Prayer Team – Prayer is the primary work of God’s people. God’s purposes in PAC ESL cannot be fulfilled unless the ESL Team stays connected to Christ, abides in Him, and stays in step with the Spirit.

Front Desk Check-In Helper – Run the check-in kiosk and welcome students arrive for class

Socio-Cultural Researcher – It’s too easy to make mistakes and inadvertently offend people when unaware of cultural differences. The Team researcher will help minimize cultural faux pas of the ESL Team.

Hospitality and Conversation Facilitator – Create an appealing presentation for nutritional energy breaks, with pleasant décor and friendly conviviality.

Administrative Volunteer – Provide administrative support to the ESL Team through the preparation of hard copies, and through data entry for tracking students and for statistical purpose

Connections

Connection Specialist- Provides appropriate next steps for attendees seeking further opportunities for service. A solid understanding of each PAC ministry is required.

Prayer Request Processor- Types handwritten prayer requests from Connection Cards into a Google spreadsheet.

Sunday Morning Tour Guide- Personally escorts attendees to their destination when they seek help at the Welcome/Connection Center

Immigrants & Refugees

Rides For Refugees – Provides a ride to/from medical legal appointments, etc.

Good Neighbor Team – A partnership of 6-8 team members who are matched with one refugee family to provide a warm welcome, regular connection, and hands-on practical support.

Temporary Housing – Provide shelter for newly arriving refugees. 

Landlord – Lease an affordable house/apartment to a refugee family
