History

Princeton Alliance Church began in 1982 with a small group of people committed to sharing God's love with the Princeton/Plainsboro area. That small group has grown to an incredibly diverse church family of over 1,500 with a vision to live life to the fullest in Jesus by knowing God, developing community and bringing hope to the world.

EARLY HISTORY

In September 1982, the Metropolitan District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance set out to plant a church in the Route 1 corridor of Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton Alliance Church held its first meeting on March 6, 1983, in the conference center of a local hotel. At that first meeting, 53 visitors were present. The church was formally organized on October 13, 1983, with the installation of its first pastor.

A TIME OF GROWTH

Between 1983 and 1996 the church grew. First, it gathered in homes throughout the Princeton area. As attendance increased, the venues changed and included Princeton High School's main auditorium, the Bristol Chapel of Westminster Choir College and an NJDOT building on Route 1 in Monmouth Junction.

A PLACE TO CALL HOME

By 1997 the church had grown well beyond the limits of the Route 1 building. On November 2, construction began on a new facility at the crossroads of Scudders Mill and Schalks Crossing roads in Plainsboro. The church moved into its new home in 1999 where it continues to thrive today.
