Ensenada 2008

We're sending a group of our high school and college students to Ensenada, Mexico to join a church in local service projects.

You can read Nate's daily updates on the student ministry blog.

Ensenada — Build. Serve. Share.

Our work in Ensenada will include building a single family home (3 rooms), renovating a church, running a vacation Bible school (VBS), and various other service projects in the community.

The trip is a service mission, but it will emphasize individual leadership, and give students opportunities to grow personally.

Itinerary

  • June 28: Travel to Ensenada
  • June 29 to July 4: Ensenada service projects
  • July 5: Day in San Diego
  • July 6: Return home

How much is the trip?

Each person needs to raise $800.
Four payments of $200 are due on March 25, April 22, May 20 and June 17.

This includes the cost of:

  • Food
  • Transportation to and from the airports and Ensenada
  • Lodging in Ensenada and San Diego
  • Supplies for house building and renovation, and VBS
  • Activities in San Diego (on our return)
  • Alliance fees

The total cost is actually $1600 per person, but we are committing to cover half this amount.

All cheques should be payable to Princeton Alliance Church.

Lodging & Meals

We will be staying at a local church and a few rental apartments next to it. Bunk beds and mattresses will be provided; we only need to bring sleeping bags.

Food will be provided by the local pastor's family. A typical day's meals include:

  • Breakfast: Contental style with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, juice and coffee.
  • Lunch: Make your own sandwiches before leaving for the day.
  • Dinner: Traditional Mexican meals that include tamales, enchiladas, pozole, tostadas, burritos and tacos.

How do I join the team?

Sorry, we're no longer accepting applications.

I still have questions…
